2020 was unmistakably a year like no other. However, we all adapted to a new normal like true Brits. From DIY haircuts, working from home and shopping locally.

The world has now changed forever. We hope it’s made us realise that it’s ok to be more human.

We’ve been increasingly empathetic towards pets appearing during business zoom meetings. And celebrity being interviewed have appeared more human and relaxed due to their less informal setting.

For me and my family, we’ve discovered a new found love for our local businesses. Especially the ones that have adapted quickly to their customer’s needs.

For instance, our local butcher is now offering home deliveries. And the farm where we purchase our free-range eggs have now got a contactless ‘Cluck and Collect’ box – fabulous!

By supporting local business, we’re investing in and strengthening the local economy.

What will a post-pandemic Britain look like?

Britain and indeed the world is entering into a new era. It’s more important than ever to support British businesses to strengthen our economy.

We’re thankful for our community and proud to be British.
Buying British supports our country and strengthens the UK economy. However, it also reduces the carbon footprint of goods and services. This transmits into fewer emissions being released into the atmosphere and cleaner, healthier air we breath.
